Gallow Hill and Moffat Well

Come along with me, Rowan, and my three hiking companions Ash, Willow and Blackthorn, as we explore the beautiful countryside surrounding Moffat in Dumfries and Galloway. This scenic walk takes us to Gallow Hill, a historic site once used for warning beacons, before continuing to Moffat Well, the famous mineral spring that helped transform Moffat into a fashionable Scottish spa town. Along the way, we discover peaceful woodland, fascinating local history and lovely views across the Southern Uplands.

The Thunderstone And Gamelands Stone Circle

Join me and my three dogs — Ash, Blackthorn, and Willow — on a 6-mile hike through the beautiful landscapes of Orton, Cumbria, in search of ancient stones, wild places, and old folklore. In this video, we set out from Orton village to find the mysterious Thunderstone — a stone said in folklore to have been created when lightning strikes the earth, believed by many cultures to hold protective or magical qualities. Thunderstones appear in myths across Britain and Europe, often linked to storms, sky gods, and the unseen world.

Experience a stunning hike across remote Dartmoor National Park to the ancient Cosdon Stone Row on the slopes of Cosdon Beacon in Devon, UK. Filmed on the autumn equinox, this peaceful walk explores one of Dartmoor’s most atmospheric Neolithic and Bronze Age archaeological sites, far from the busy tourist routes and normally visited only by cattle and sheep.

Hiking Nine Maidens Stone Circle & Belstone Tor | Dartmoor Walk with Dogs

Join us for a beautiful sunny day hike on Dartmoor National Park, exploring ancient history, stunning views, and wild landscapes with three adventurous dogs!

Our walk begins in Belstone village (Devon, UK), heading out across the moor to the mysterious Nine Maidens Stone Circle, one of Dartmoor’s iconic prehistoric sites. From there, we climb up to Belstone Tor, where dramatic stone formations and panoramic views await.
