Pet Training

Transform reactive walks into calm training moments with simple, games-based exercises. Many dog guardians dream of peaceful walks filled with connection, fresh air, and shared calm. Yet if you live with a reactive dog, those moments can often feel stressful and unpredictable.

At Yoga Dog Training, we understand that many reactive dogs are not “bad” or “difficult” — they are simply what we affectionately call loveable rascals. These are dogs with big feelings, quick reactions, and busy minds. They bark, lunge, or over-react because they are overwhelmed, excited, or unsure how to cope with the world around them.

Our mindful dog training approach focuses on games-based learning to help these loveable rascals develop calmer habits and better emotional balance. Rather than relying on force or correction, we use engaging training games that teach dogs how to think, focus, and make better choices. These games build skills such as disengagement, optimism, impulse control, and confidence — the foundations of calmer behaviour on walks.

Inspired by mindfulness and the principles behind yoga, we also help guardians understand how their own awareness, breathing, and timing influence their dog’s behaviour. When you slow down, become more present, and practise simple training games, your dog learns that the world is a safer and more predictable place.

The result is a calmer partnership, where both you and your loveable rascal can enjoy walks together again.
